Privacy policy
Your data stays on your phone. Weft has no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no ads. We never receive your data.
Weft is published by Everyday Things. Contact: support@everydaythings.dev.
On your phone
Weft keeps these in its private storage on your phone:
- your practices, alarms and settings, including a location used to compute sun and moon times;
- your history: what you did, skipped or missed, and any values you record, such as weight, mood or notes. Some of this may be health information;
- photos, videos and sounds you attach to practices;
- a crash log, if the app crashes, with technical details only.
Uninstalling Weft removes all of it. You can delete practices, alarms and history in the app at any time.
What we collect
Nothing. Weft has no accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics or advertising code, and no telemetry. We never receive, store or sell your data. If that ever changes, for example with optional sync, it will be off by default and this policy will change first.
When data leaves your phone
Only when you act:
- Sharing and backups. A practice, calendar file, backup or crash log you export goes where you send it. Backups include your history.
- Addresses you enter. When you subscribe to a calendar or a practice by web address, or import media from one, Weft downloads it directly from that server, and checks a subscription for updates. That server sees the request, as with any download.
Permissions
- Notifications and alarms, to ring your alarms on time.
- Location (optional), to compute sunrise, sunset and moon times where you are. Weft reads it while the app is open. It never leaves your phone. You can enter a place by hand instead.
- Camera, photos and microphone (optional), only when you attach a photo or video to a practice. The microphone records a video's sound.
Imported practices
A practice file you import is content, like a document. Importing it does not notify its author. Links in it open only when you tap them.
Children
Weft is not directed at children under 13. We collect no information from anyone.
Your rights
We hold no personal data from the app, so there is nothing to disclose, correct or delete: your phone holds the only copy. If you think we hold data about you, for example from an email, write to support@everydaythings.dev.
Changes
If the way Weft handles data changes, this policy changes first, with a new effective date, and the app will say so.
